Short-term rental

How much does it cost to marry a Thai person?

Hello everyone~ I am a Taiwanese girl who married to Thailand. Marrying a Thai person is different from marrying a Taiwanese person, so everyone can do more research on this. Here, I am sharing my experience of marrying here. I remember that at that time, when the epidemic situation became clear and various countries began to cancel mandatory quarantine, as long as you have a health certificate and normal body temperature, you can move freely after entering the country. Originally, I did some research on the internet and found the process quite complicated. Finally, I decided to hire an agent to help with the whole process. The cost was about nearly 60,000 TWD (excluding airfare but including all fees for regulations, Thai marriage interview, and marriage registration in both Taiwan and Thailand). The advantage of hiring an agent is to save time and trouble. After all, it was the first marriage for my Thai husband as well. It's always good to have someone to guide you. Before flying over, I had prepared my household registration transcript and had it translated and notarized by a translation agency at my own expense. Then, after arriving in Thailand, I followed the process arranged by the agent. Below, I will also roughly share the documents the agent asked me to prepare. However, since Thailand is a rapidly developing country, there may be some minor differences in the documents required each year. Please refer to the latest announcement from the Immigration Bureau for the most up-to-date information!! Here are the documents needed for a foreign woman to register for marriage: 1. Certificate of single status (this also needs to be notarized and then sent for authentication by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) 2. Passport 3. Taiwanese ID card 4. Household registration 5. I also prepared a proof of deposit, but usually the woman does not need to prepare this. Due to word limit, the information on the documents required for a family reunion visa will be shared in the next part~~

Chiang Mai TCDC 'Make Scents, Make Sense' exhibition sharing

One morning in early January, I went to TCDC in Chiang Mai when I had some free time. There was an exhibition on the first floor called 'Make Scents, Make Sense', which was one of the activities during Chiang Mai Design Week at the end of last year. The exhibition area was not large, making it very comfortable to stroll around. The main idea of this exhibition is to start from scents, advancing from simple sensory experiences to connecting the past and the future, and then extending to cultural values and economic potential. As soon as I entered, I saw a piece of cloth that made me smile because my younger brother also needs to hold a blanket he has used since he was young to fall asleep, just like the scent mentioned in the exhibition carries the bits and pieces of life. Next, you can experience many different scents. The first area features some common perfume scents, while the next area showcases the unique plant scents of northern Thailand. Sometimes in Thailand, I smell scents that are hard to come by in Taiwan, whether pleasant or unpleasant. I am always curious about what exactly those scents are, but find it difficult to describe to others. Here, I can smell them all at once. I find the most special scent to be Chalood, which is commonly used in traditional Thai medicine and is also a raw material for making incense and natural fabric fragrances. The last area gathers many perfumes created by perfumers, ranging from light to heavy scents. Next time you visit Chiang Mai, don't forget to come here for a stroll!
